~HAPPY THANKSGIVING~

I thought this picture was so sweet.. This is not my picture but I found it on the web. I hope the owner doesn't mind but I thought I had to share as it was so sweet~

I also found this poem that I thought touched every point in my heart~ So I thought as well I would share. Near and far my family and friends are but please know you are all dear to my heart... I will miss having a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all of my loved ones. My family has fallen apart and many of us have gone our own ways. My family changed drastically two years ago. How the years fly by and how things have changed. Holidays are not the same any more. I think with my husband having different traditions then I and not having much family things really are not the same. I stand in my kitchen at midnight tonight making pumpkin pies and standing alone. I think when it comes down to things it really makes me wonder who you can count on in this life???
Through the years I have been faced with many set backs and as well I have been rewarded. I have a good life, I have a son that never seems to break the rules, gets good grades and most days helps as much as a teenager can. He's good at sports and doesn't ask for much. I have a husband who provides and who helps most days as much as husbands do. I have two dogs, one cat that love me unconditionally. I have a few family members that I can count on two hands that I don't see very often. I have a few friends near and far that I don't see very often. I have a great job, a nice house, nice cars what more could I ask for??? Life is sometimes just the way it is. Tomorrow I get to celebrate Thanksgiving with a few ladies I help with daily living skills every day. I am thankful I get to bring joy to their lives! I will celebrate the rest of the day and evening with my husband son, and some of his friends. My mother will stop in for a bit and possibly my brother will bring granny by my place. I will have many great people around me on this special day that I give thanks for~

I hope all of you near and far have a Happy Thanksgiving~ For all of those that are with out their family and loved ones I send a special prayer your way and may you know that someone near or far are holding you in their thoughts~

~Happy Thanksgiving~

This Thanksgiving holiday with its blessings so grand
Should serve to remind us of the joys at hand
The friendships we treasure, our families dear
The love we've been given and shared, year to year
The food at our tables, where many have none
The dawn of each morning beneath the bright sun
The dreams that we carry; the warmth in our hearts
That bring us together when we are apart.

Happy Thanksgiving Kim....to Cody and Sam as well.

It would be nice if we could all be together the way we use to celebrate out Holidays years ago.

Miss you and Love you Kim.
